JD(U) office secretary Sanjay Sinha on Sunday said 10 camps for the party joining would be organised at the party’s state office here in next three days in which 1,600 people interested to join the party would be offered membership by Kishor.
In five such camps, members or ex-members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and the urban local bodies (ULBs) including two block Pramukhs from Muzaffarpur district and one PACS chairman from Araria district, would join the JD(U) in next three days, a JD(U) leader close to Kishor told TOI.
In similar four camps, students and youths would join the party. A female student leader with her 200 supporters would also join the party in next three days. In another party-joining camp, around 200 young business men and entrepreneurs from across the state would be joining the JD(U) in the presence of Kishor, a party leader said.
Kishor recently launched ‘Youth in Politics’ campaign with the goal of bringing around one lakh youths into electoral politics, with the vision of strengthening the JD(U) and enhancing its worker base in Bihar. As part of his campaign, thousands of people hailing from different occupations approached him to join the JD(U). Of them, 1,600 would be joining in the next three days, a JD(U) functionary said on Sunday.
