Chris Hemsworth Seems to Have Almost Misspelled His Last Name at Avengers Handprint Ceremony

Chris Hemsworth might have been a little nervous!

The 35-year-old actor was honored with a handprint ceremony outside of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Tuesday alongside his Avengers: Endgame costars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner.

However, fans are convinced the actor almost misspelled his last name when he signed it onto wet cement, with the ‘t’ in his name barely visible in the dried result.

Hemsworth didn’t seem to mind, however, as he happily posed with his castmates and Marvel President Kevin Feige, who was also honored.

On Monday night, Hemsworth attended the premiere of Avengers: Endgame with his wife, actress Elsa Pataky. His brothers, Liam and Luke, were also in attendance with their wives, Miley Cyrus and Samantha Hemsworth, respectively. The siblings’ mother, Leonie, also enjoyed the premiere.

Hemsworth told PEOPLE on Monday he was lucky to have landed the role of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, acknowledging the opportunities that arose from his role in Marvel’s franchise.

“It opened up kind of every door for me and as far as just working in this business and fame and all that,” Hemsworth said.

The biggest takeaway, however, were the strong connections among the cast.

“The people I met working on these films truly became family,” he said. “It’s not even once in a career, or once in a lifetime, it’s sort of, I don’t know, once in however many careers that something like this .”

He continued, “This has been a very nostalgic kind of vibe to this press tour and all of us quite often kind of pausing going, ‘Wow, this will never happen again, not for us, and who knows if it will happen again in what generation.’”

“I can keep talking about the kind of, how special it all is and the insanity of it but it’s, I don’t know, gratitude is something that I constantly feel about the whole experience,” Hemsworth added.

Avengers: Endgame is in theaters Friday.
