“The protester has been arrested and police are dealing with the situation,” Laver Cup organizers said in a statement.

Tsitsipas said of the incident, “It came out of nowhere. I don’t know what it’s all about. I’ve never had an incident like this in court. I hope she’s okay.” via sky sports

“I wanted to go ahead with the match without making any minor changes to the court and to make sure it was playable, especially in that area. It also got my experience looking at it the way I did later on the court. There was a big mark over there and I just wanted to clear it up.”

Thankfully for Tsitsipas, the incident didn’t derail his game and he gave Schwartzman a 6-2, 6-1 win for Team Europe over Team World.

Federer will appear on the same court on Friday evening as his partner in a doubles match with longtime rival and friend Rafael Nadal – His final before retiring.
