President Biden says it ‘remains to be seen’ whether or not he’ll run for reelection in 2024


At the season premiere of Sunday President addressed the possibility of re-election in 2024. Whether or not the president should run again is a prospect that has become an issue some Democrats have balked at. Although Biden has that he expects to walk again, first lady said recently that the two . Biden said it has yet to be decided.

“See, my intention, which I said at the beginning, is that I would run again, but it’s just an intention. But is it a firm decision that I run again? That remains to be seen,” Biden said, later adding, “It’s far too early to make a decision like that. I respect fate a lot and what I do is I do my job and we will do that job. And within the timeframe that makes sense, after this next election cycle here, into next year, judge what needs to be done.”

Biden is already the oldest president to ever serve, but he believes his performance as commander-in-chief should be decisive, not his age. Biden enjoyed one as president, ranging from the historic Infrastructure Act to climate change legislation to veterans’ health care, among others.

“I respect the fact that people would say, you know, ‘You’re old,’ but I think it depends on how much energy you have,” Biden said, “and whether the work you’re doing is consistent or not with what any person of any age could do.”
