Ronda Rousey's indefinite suspension following her attack on officials at SummerSlam
The Baddest Woman on the Planet and former UFC champion Ronda Rousey have been suspended and punished by the WWE as a result of her conduct following her SummerSlam defeat.
Rousey was naturally unhappy after losing one of her most important battles of her career to Liv Morgan at SummerSlam.
To make matters worse, Rousey had a good right to be angry because a dubious referee call cost her the match.
The WWE, however, stated that Rousey was not permitted to physically lash out at WWE employees, which is exactly what she did last Saturday night.
Liv Morgan achieved her goal of becoming the SmackDown Women's Champion last month by cashing in on the Money in the Bank briefcase.
At SummerSlam, Rousey was determined to show that Morgan's victory was an accident and that in the absence of the briefcase, she would have lost to Morgan.
Rousey got in his face, threw him to the ground, and then securely locked him in an arm bar after losing the fight as a result of a wrong call by referee Dan Engler.
"Ronda Rousey has received an undisclosed punishment and suspension after her attack on referee Dan Angler at SummerSlam.
After her SmackDown Women's Title match, a furious Rousey confronted the referee, accusing Liv Morgan of having tapped out on the armbar,
while he counted. WWE announced in a statement that Rousey would not be on Friday Night SmackDown this week due to her suspension.
WWE management never takes these moves kindly. Rousey has been placed on indefinite leave of absence for the second time in her WWE career.
Rousey will have to argue her case while at home, but only time will tell if she challenges Morgan to the championship once again.
For Liv Morgan, who became the first WWE Superstar to defeat Ronda Rousey twice, things are improving.
