On Monday is the “Conversation at the Red TableThe host, who turned 51 on Sunday, shared a video on Instagram of a cozy moment from her birthday party.
“I’m so thankful for all the birthday love yesterday,” she wrote in the caption of her post. “Many Thanks.”
Pinkett Smith’s birthday video featured her husband Will Smith, their son Jaden and other guests serenading her “Happy Birthday.”
The actor’s birthday song ended with cheers and clapping, and Pinkett Smith blew out the candles on a cake covered in pink frosting in the shape of flowers. For his part, Will Smith appeared beaming and laughing, giggling once as Pinkett Smith started dancing to the chant.
“I’m just grateful – just deeply grateful,” Pinkett Smith remarked after being called to speak.
“The end,” Smith concluded, adding, “She is grateful, virtue supreme.”
Pinkett Smith arrived at her birthday party in a cozy pink jumper and pants set.
Birthday wishes and praise poured into the comments section of Pinkett Smith’s video, which was littered with heart and birthday emojis for the actor.
“Happy Birthday my beautiful Jada!!!!!!!! Love uuuuu cheers to many more blessings to come,” TV host Lili Estefan wrote in response to the video.
“Happy Birthday!!” another wrote. “Wish you the best!”
Another user commented on the spot, writing, “Blessings plentiful!”
September was a big month for Pinkett Smith in terms of self-celebration. On September 13th she marked Bald is a beautiful day with a selfie posted on Instagram.
“Happy Bald is a beautiful day to all my hairless brothers and sisters,” she captioned the post, which showed her in a gold silk number with makeup done and her head cleanly shaved.
In recent years, the 51-year-old has been open about changing the way she sees herself when it comes to beauty after learning she suffers from alopecia.
“It was scary when it started,” Pinkett Smith explained on an episode of Red Table Talk. “One day I was in the shower and I only had a handful of hair in my hands. And I was like, ‘Oh my god, am I going bald?’ It was one of those moments in my life where I literally trembled with fear.”
